This is the first time I've blogged since 2005. I had a blog for about 2-1/2 years that was totally about my kids. It had pics for family and friends to view, articles about my kids and even allowed family and friends to post pics and articles themselves. I had a place where I'd post 'isms or little phrases one or the other child would say. Then I ran out of time in life.

In 2002 I started a business with 2 other guys along with some investors, called Evolve Solutions. The investors were members of the partnership as well as providing start up capital. They had a vested interest in the eCommerce software we were writing, as they wanted to use it for a physical brick and mortar store they owned. My job was designing, project management and sales engineering. One of the guys was a salesman. One was a software architect. We had 3-6 designer/developer sub-contractors that either worked in-house or remotely. That first year we lost the sales guy, and early that next year, the architect left. I was forced to manage all aspects of the business and was working 70-80 hours a week and never saw my kids. Since the blog was about them, I decided to discontinue it in 2005. I hadn't blogged in 3 months and it was completely stagnant as no one else was writing either.

Since then I've worked to create blogs for others, consulted on the use of blogs, twitter, Facebook and other social and mass media. Many times, I've looked at the zipped up blog sitting on a server taking up space, and thought, "I should turn that back on". And then something else would come up.

So I'm back blogging again, as I have a little more free time lately. Business has been good for the last couple years and I'm taking a little time to revamp portions of my business, make new acquaintances, look for new opportunities and enjoy a beautiful Michigan Autumn. I don't know what all I will blog about, but want to discuss thoughts on the internet, website development, social media and some life stuff. I'll probably dabble in Apple Computers, technology in general, iPhone vs Android, Gmail vs paid hosting, and perhaps a little about my kids. I may get a little into soccer coaching in the Spring and Fall. I may talk about cars, or house repairs, maybe even how to create the perfect martini. I have a lot of interests from hunting white tail deer in MI, to mountain and road biking, snow skiing, kayaking, camping, deal hunting, as well as technology. I like art and most forms of music. Most of the cars I've owned, I've repaired myself - and may write about those things. I'm not exactly sure where this is going, but you're welcome along for the ride.
